Group Meeting Planned
Our first open meeting of the SAPT group is tentatively scheduled for Sunday Sept 27, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00pm.

Open to all Positive Professional Trainers
We do not use punishment in our training, because with study and learning ourselves, we have proven that there is no need.
Stephen Rafe says "Punishment is the Least Effective way to Teach any of God's Creatures." I heard that many years ago at one of his appearances with PCSA, and have never forgotten it.
Join us in learning and expanding a professional network of positive trainers learning and becoming even better trainers together.
Since we are located in Upper East Tennessee, this group is open to all professional trainers, trainers in training, and shelter handlers in the East Tennessee, Western VA, Western NC, and South Eastern KY. You are all welcome, because we aren't that far apart.

NETWORKING, SHARING, LEARNING
A few weeks ago, APDT started a listing of training clubs on their website.
What a great idea! Getting trainers together, I have often thought about it, and now that I have a place ready to go, it is time to launch this endeavor.
We already have four professional members in the group. Two are currently APDT members, and one is a certified professional dog trainer. We want to meet up with others.
I will be sending personal invitations to all trainers that I can locate via web.
If anyone else is out there who would be interested in joining us, please contact me.
This blog will stand open until the end of the year with the hope that everyone out there will want to become affiliated with our club.
